Default Sticky2k's F24C Build

Hey guys I spun a rod bearing which is what I'm assuming (engine is knocking) I had low oil doing dounts.

So I just picked up a used AP1 engine with no crank.

I'm planning on trying to get the most power going NA that I can out of it. 300whp-320whp is what I am aiming for

I just purchased the CNC Speedshop 2.4 ltr. Stroker Kit. I'm going with following setup from them which include.

-Stock AP1 treated pistons with 06+ piston rings- which should yield 13:1 Comp

-CNC Speedshop Honda OEM modified K24 crankshaft to be compatable for an F20/F22
block.

-CNC Speedshop Stroker Rods

-ACL Race Bearings

-ARP Custom Age +625 fasteners

I know I need a new head gasket, I'm also going to be upgrading the oil squirter bolts, but what other parts should I add for extra security.

I am also going to be upgrading the head with pretty much brand new everything.

Which valve train kits would yall recommend? (Valves, spring, retainers, etc.) And should I go over size? I want do do a 3 or 5 angle valve job also.

Are there any intake manifolds and throttle bodies available that are proven? I have someone local that's getting rid of an URGE ITB kit but I don't know how long that's going to be available as I don't have the funds to purchase at the moment

Also which CAMS would yall recommend. I saw the thread with skunk2 and BC cams, but would like to see other people's experience with them.

Yes I've searched the forums but haven't been active much so I don't know what new aftermarket parts are available and proven.

Any recommendations would be appreciated

Thanks

Inline Pro does awesome head packages,

I also assume with 13.1 compression your going to be on E85.... right?

What are you spinning the 2.4 to?

OEM Ap2 valvetrain is hard to beat. Ferrea beehive springs and valves are worthy, something with a touch more spring rate (85-90lbs)? Consider a dual spring for insurance if you're tracking hard.

Oversizing if you're boosted + port work. Otherwise stock size.

I image the more angles the more flush it will be to the head and seal/flow better, so 5 angle.

looking forward to the turn out.

Good luck

We'll be doing some manifold and cam testing on a similar setup here in the next few weeks.

I would love to pick up the ITBS from you but priorities first, like I said if available in a few months (August September) I will most likely get them.

There are no off the shelf cams that will allow an f24 to make power past 8000 rpms. You'll need to go custom. InlinePro makes some cams that may work for you. Also, the oem intake manifold is a bottleneck. It won't be able to breath above 8000.

When I was running a stock intake manifold on my F24, the power would flat line at around 8000. This was with a J37 throttle body, oem header, and 3" straight exhaust from the header back. Also, I made more power on the oem AP1 cams vs the BC2's.

For the head, I would stick to oem if you're not going past 9000 rpms. I've had all kinds of reliability issues with both supertech and inlinepro valve train.
