Default T1R-70-EM

I recently purchase a used T1r 70-EM and after installing there was a noticeable amount of drone. I have tried wrapping the entire exhaust all the way from the HFC to the Y-pipe up to the mufflers, but not the mufflers themselves. But the drone is still there.

Another local friend that has the same exhaust offer to take a look at it and to compare both exhaust. And to our surprise mine has more drone than his, even with the top down. I had the same results when comparing to another owner of the same exhaust.

So why would the T1r-70-Em have more drone in one application than another.

My mods: 03 AP1, T1r-70-EM, T1R header, Berks 70mm HFC, Stock ECU

Friend 1: 06 AP2 T1R-70-EM, Aftermarket Header( Don't remember which one) 70mm Test Pipe, AEM Intake, HONDATA flash

Friend 2: 04 AP2 T1R-70-EM, Skunk2 Header, 70mm Test Pipe AEM Intake, AEM ECU

I ran the exhaust with OEM header first and then with the T1R header and the drone only change in high RPMs but still have the dreaded drone in 3k-4.5k

Any AP1s running T1R notice drone ?

We thought it could be the lack of insulation in the AP1 but it wouldn't explain why drone is still there with the top down.

It's cuz you have a HFC and your friend has a test pipe.

Would it be that big of a difference from the HFC to test pipe ?

There's a local seller with a 60mm test pipe but I'm just going to wait for the 70 mm to get in the mail ....

I'm still a little skeptical from the drone change from the hfc to a teat pipe but will shall see...

And no it's not up for free ... Or price .... At least lol

I'll see what happened once installed

I have the 70r-EM and i think its quietened down ... as it does with many other people's personal accounts.

I also have the 70MM BERK HFC, i'm considering to go test pipe as well just for the sake of extra flow but who knows.

Tell me how you go with the drone, i still have some and would be nice to get rid of it all
