Default Tuners take a look.....

im running a AEM EMS 1052 box on a jdm f20c
CAI
stock header
63mm exhaust (single)

i need mid range power thats my only concern...
peak is great for me.... but what do i do to shift the graph left between 4500-6000
i tuned it yesterday peaked at 213hp from 201 base run
but struggling to keep it above baseline in midrange.... ive adjusted fuel n timing map to max timing on 12.8 AFR super 90 fuel... (best local pump gas)
is there anything else in the EMS that i can adjust for the f20c to make more midrange?
results

Are you running catless? The biggest gain is lowering vtec with a test pipe.

with a cat you can't get the same gains from lowering vtec as you would with a test pipe.

Also your exhaust is small. 70mm or 76mm is what you should be running.

If you already have the testpipe, the larger exhaust coupled with probably an aftermarket header would help midrange out a lot.

thanks alot bro....
i was hoping my exhaust sstem was the problem....
its a stock header.... into 63mm piping catless with a resonator.
i ran an open header pull also which made no difference but that from one extreme to the other..... im gonna do some exhaust work and try again

13.5 seems a little lean. Is this what your motor liked? You can only do so much with A/F and timing. A/F basically just changes how fast the flame front travels(amongst other things) and timing is used to optimize cylinder pressure. Everything else has to do with Volumetric Efficiency at a given RPM; engine design, modding theory.

well that not where i left my AFR im sorry i didnt plot them... but its an example of the numerous settings i tried to get more power from..... im actually gonna redo my exhaust pretty soon and make a few passes again but i was only concerned as this is my first time tuning a Honda NA motor...
most of the graphs ive seen here on s2ki from guys with even jus piggybacks seemed to have pulled more in there midrange so i was concerned as to wat i was doin so wrong.....but from the looks of it that dip at 5200 kinda points to an exhaust issue....

It'd be nice if you posted a torque plot. I hate looking at the HP curve.

How do you like the AEM EMS? Can someone that has decent knowledge in tuning be able to set it up and street tune with it? I think I'm going this route for my tuning needs.

ok next time i pass by the shop hopefully soon enough ill get those torque curves but trust me surprisingly none of the torque plots had any dips in them everything was just above or below but parallel....

well the Ems to me is very good, all the probs people usually have with them ive experienced none really. the car starts perfectly when both cold and hot.... idles perfect..... partial throttle driving is better than stock..... MPG improved..... decelerates smoother.... really it jus takes time to make the few adjustment to suit ur needs...... most people just tune WOT..... i tuned for all different driving conditions..... the only thing that i cant seem to get working is the 2step rev limit.... i think my speed senor wires go torn off so ill check it if not im gonna activate it from a switch input.....
btw.... i never recommend it but being so close to perfect you can street tune the base startup calibration for the S2 aem did a really good job on that

I didn't see any mention of your VTEC engagement RPM. What is it? I've found that the stock header on an F22 really likes a 3500 RPM engagement when there's no cat.

its currently at 4800
the graph i posted it was at 4500 but with that as u see it falls below baseline so 4800 is the only point that keeps me above baseline figures
i tried engagement point from 3800 to 6000 at 100rpm intervals
