Don't think it will kill you to at least put a race muffler on!

It won't be that beneficial when used in an F20? I always thought aftermarket exhaust/Intake parts would be interchangeable between the 2 engines.
I'm not saying it won't be beneficial but it seems like the higher displacement motors need just a little larger piping to breathe better.

i have seen really good gains on 1.6 liter engines going from a 2.5 to 3 inch exhaust.. a standard f20c would for sure benefit from a 3inch exhaust.

did u lose any power or torque down low in the rev range, or were there gains thru out the rev range just out of interest ?

was the max power increase only slight or a massive difference ?

We actually use 3inch exhausts on our K20a race car too with great results. Its very common for most K20 cars to have a 70mm or 3inch exhaust on those running cams and some mild upgrades even.

Our 2.2L F22 Time Attack S2000 is running a 3inch this season as well. We'll have pics up later this week im hoping.

i built a 3" for my setup, ap1, lost a little in the low end but picked up 14whp peak, mostly 8-10whp from the entire midrange on
