Hmm started digging around a bit and found some others with the same idea:

Not sure it would be possible to actually get this through the harness hole in a way that would make sense. I don't really like the idea of bringing the belt over the side of the seat. I think there definitely might be some Honda/Acura receptacles out there that could be a good length that aren't solid that are actually a receiver on a belt with a solid mounting hole on the other end. So far it looks like there might be a few good options from other cars. I will report back if I find anything interesting.

Yes, that is exactly what I did for my E36. It's own rear center receiver worked.

And yeah, you're probably right about the belt stretching as being a more significant effect. Any any more significant impact probably means brain death regardless lol.

Yes, please keep us posted! I will do the same.

Wonder if that nsxr bent version would work better with an extender.

Or even a piece of square steel that fit inside the square hole. Then hole through that.

Rear center receptacle of 01-06 CR-V looks like a great candidate too. I think the buckle says 'center' on it but not a big deal really. It comes down to finding a receptacle in an appropriate length for your setup. And also making sure the button will be on the appropriate side when mounted so it can be easily pressed. Many of the rear seat belt brackets need to be mounted in a pretty specific way.

I think the 97-01 Prelude rear brackets are also similar but don't say 'center' on them. It can be tricky to tell on some of the images if the button would be on the outside when mounted though.

That CRV center looks very promising. Do you know if it'll clip in with the stock LH side 2006+ S2000? It would be awesome if that was the same style buckle.

But yeah, the angle that the belt comes out of the holed bracket is significant. But, at least for my seat/bracket config, that would be awesome. Cuz it's a narrow seat and the bracket for the belt is a bit farther away. So I might have to mount it so the button is on the wrong side and the extender has one twist in it but that should be fine? But does it clip in?

And it doesn't have to be a Honda part. As long as the buckle is compatible, it'll work.

There appear to be 2 main types. A (7/8") and B (1") tongue width. My 2006+ S2000 appears to be Type A (7/8").

Playing around with this site for some other Hondas, it looks like you only get an option of 'front seat' or 'rear outer'. Maybe that means the rear center is the same as the fronts on most cars?

Another member mentioned that a rear receiver from a Mazda 626 works well, since it's longer (https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/718...th-stock-belt/)

I haven't tried it, but could be worth a shot since it's pretty cheap (http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Mazda-6...1AOlZw&vxp=mtr)

Did anyone find any solution on that? I want to do the same thing, but can't find an appropriate seatbelt receiver. I have an '01 AP1 and I tried from a Miata NA, didn't do the work. I tried the rear one from a Toyota Corolla, didn't do the work. I don't know what to do... Car is sitting 3 weeks now in garage, just waiting for an working seatbelt receiver. I will probably fit the oem again till I find a solution. Please, if you have any thoughts let me know...

How are you folks who are bolting the extender to the rail dealing with the buckle sensor not being plugged in? Does the seatbelt light on the dash flash? I'm worried the airbag wouldn't deploy in an accident without the sensor plugged in and confirming the belt is plugged into the receiver. As an example, I know the passenger airbag will not deploy if the belt isn't buckled. And I know that in my Accord, a worn-out buckle sensor will cause the SRS light to pop up (they have a service bulletin for it). This would also be an issue for anyone using a non-S2000 buckle that doesn't have a compatible sensor built in.

Bullwings' over/under method might be the only way to retain proper airbag functionality (unless you bought two extenders so you could plug one into the original buckle and keep the entire mess under the seat).

This is what I did. Found a buckle that will fit and secured the entire assembly to the rail, along with the proximity sensor. Also, I can confirm that the Mazda 626 rear belt receptacles accept our buckles. It's just a tad bit longer than I would've liked, but works well.

I found this that could be an option.
https://oemseatbelts.com/products/8-webbing-buckles

I've contacted them to ask what Type of buckle it is. Hopefully it's Type A.

https://oemseatbelts.com/pages/custom-seat-belts
They also say, they can do custom seat belts so I might ask them to make a couple of Type A of an appropriate length. They seem to have 8, 12, 14, 24" buckles that will bolt in. I wonder what would be the best size we need. Just hope it's Type A.

My 2006 AP2 requires a Type A for both belts. Are the other year S2000s the same?

EDIT - They sent me a Type A 10" buckle with a 7/16" bolt-in hole. Mates up perfectly! I'll post again once I finalize on a seat and install this thing.
