Are you sure they are running the 3.5 mile "full course" (which is shown in your pic) and not the 3.1 miles course? I happen to know that Aaron likes the 3.1 mile course better and thinks the second kidney that is added to make the 3.5 course is "not technical, just slow for the sake of being slow." I agree with him.

Last year RTA ran the more popular 3.1 mile layout.

Last year it was also about 110 deg in the shade. On the bright side there's a Sonic's up the road.

I will probably be at this event running street class. It's a very fun track -- on par with Buttonwillow.
I emailed Aaron and he said SV's current plan is to run the 3.1 mile configuration, which is better than the 3.5 config. that appears in your post (and SV's website, even though it's wrong). The post above ^^^ has a link to that config. It drops out the second "kidney" which is an improvement.
I haven't been to this track in almost 3 years. The track hasn't chaged since then but they have built a lot of new facilities around the track, garages, etc. Also they built a tunnel so you can get in and out of the infield where the paddock is, without waiting for the track to go cold so you can cross it (that was the old setup). This is one of those country club tracks that has memberships, plus it's the home base for all the Radical Racing West guys and a Radical and Corvette racing school.
