2013 SCCA Dixie Match Tour
2013 Tire Rack SCCA Dixie Match Tour SCCA - National - National Tour Saturday, Mar 16 — Sunday, Mar 17, 2013 South Georgia Motorsports Park, Adel, GA Match Tours are the latest addition to the Tire Rack SCCA National Solo Series. These events are three events in one package. The event starts off with a Saturday four run Autocross, then a two run Last Chance Qualifier on Sunday morning, followed by the final show down coming together in Evolution Super Shootout. The Shootout format allows the forty-eight fastest drivers to mix with the top four ladies, as well as twelve random drawn drivers in a four ladder tournament to see who can take home the big prize. The top 32 qualifiers are determined from the events overall PAX results, and are then locked into their positions for the Sunday Super Shootout. Once those drivers are locked in to the Shootout, the rest of the competitors get a second chance in the Last Chance Qualifier. Following the LCQ the top four ladies class competitors are brought into the Super Shootout bringing the total number to 52. The remaining 12 Super Shootout positions will be from a random drawing of any that have not made the top 52 spots, bringing the total to 64. With the field complete, the 64 competitors are plugged into a bracket system and run against one another until only one remains. Registration Fee $95. This is my first tour event. I'm sure I wont be a top runner, just hoping for mid-pack in STR. Plus hoping to learn quite a bit about setups. |
I would be there if it wasn't a "Match Tour." We plan to stay closer to home for those. If this was a Tour or Pro, we would be there in a heartbeat.

I'm thinking about it but I'm not looking forward to the drive. However, due to lack of events in the Mid atlantic region, I'm making plans to be there.

My codriver and I will be there. Hoping this year goes better than last year.

I will be attending but in a Z06 instead of my S2000. Pretty excited about it.

Joe and I work pretty good together and the car is a hoot. Jr says he is coming to take his SSP title back, so we are going to try and keep him honest. This year I hope to drive better and stay off the cones. |
I did a test day with Junior, Courtney, Sam and a few others a few weeks ago, and he and the car seem to be getting back on form.
