Default 2015 Solo National Championships

Just thought I'd start a thread to discuss solo nats. ProSolo Finale starts this weekend and then Solo Nationals starts next week. We're leaving tomorrow so I'm starting to get pumped.

BS and BSP will be Tues/Wed of next week, AS/STR thurs/fri.

As always live results at sololive.scca.com

So who's going?

I'm driving in STR this year, and Tory will be doing STRL. Tory has been 2nd place a lot at nats over the last few years but she's improved a lot this year so I'm hoping for a win for her. One of my high school friends will be codriving with me in STR, he's a great driver but more experience road racing than autocrossing, this'll be his first solo nats - should be fun.

I'm back after my three years overseas.

I've also signed up for the SOLO Trials on Saturday.

I will be there. Between all the rain, the 200TW radials, the new car, and my travel schedule I have had quite the trying season. I think I'm finally past it all, though, and excited for the big show!

I won't be there but good luck to everyone going. I'm sure I'm not the only one who will be tuned in at home enjoying the competition.

Be there thursday and friday in DS. Wrote a letter asking for clarification on allowing touring cars (all, as in SUPER touring cars) into SSM and SM for next year so I can run the STU S2000 in SSM in STO trim.

Ian that is awesome!

I will be there in our beastly STU 350z gunning for another National Championship. Flying out this Friday for the Pro Finale - not sure if I can catch Kriz in the Sti with the launch advantage, but on the open tour course the Z can do the business I think!

Look forward to seeing all of you again.

Nick, do me a favor and if you agree write in requesting the same for me. More letters the better. I talked to the SSM class at Wilmington and they all agree'd that a cage weights way more then the interior and they would all be totally cool with it. Way I see it is "touring" cars are legal for SP. SP bumps to SM. Therefore a "touring" legal car could run SM with no interior and windows etc etc. I know that rule was written for IT (Improved Touring), but iirc the book says "touring". So that would include Super Touring the way I read it. No way the car could compete in STU trim. I'd need to make it STO trim.

I'll be in str again this year. I'm not driving as well as I was last year but I think my co will be a threat at the pointy end. Looks like we might get wet too so that could make things interesting. Can't wait!
