Default 4 point competition harness need advice

Due to an issue of blubber I cannot find a seat which fits both me and the car at the same time. I want a harness so I'm stuck with the option of a 4 point. I have the ELDA solo 1 rollbar and harness bar so I've got that covered.

I'm considering the Schroth Profi II Flexi Competition belt http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store.php?met...2&sub=1217#1315

Anyone have any advice pro or con with using this harness with stock seats?

Chad and Andreas at subesports.com were very helpful in directing me in the right direction when it came to harness selection. They are also a Schroth dealer that happen to in the LA area.

I use the 6 point Willans harness with my stock seats. I route the anti-sub strap under my butt and out the opening between the seat bottom and seat back.

I know this isn't the safest way, but if you're stuck with a stock seat, you might as well retain some possibility of not submarining.

Rick's has the Team Tech JetPilot harnesses. They are expensive, but they're 4-point w/ anti-sub straps.

Wow talk about timing, I just ordered the exact belt yesterday (from HMS too).

They are pretty knowledgeable about the Schroth belts, I called them up and discussed my setup before ordering, and I was originally going with the Rallye Cross 4pt.

I went with the wrap around (harness bar) and bolt in (stock belt points)

I do have a race bucket however, and I can add the ASM belt later if I want, but these out to work well with the stock seats too.

The Schroth belts have a ASM feature built-in to the strap design (that made my decision) with just a 4-pt.

George

PS they should be here today or tomorrow

Given the geometry and a long argument on the subject with Rylan last night I think the only real option is to cut out the honeycomb in the headrest and route the shoulder straps through there. There isn't enough room on the left of the headrest (as pictured) to route around it and not have the belt site square on the harness bar flange and bolt.

More fuel on the fire...

The honeycomb space looks pretty narrow to run two 3-inch straps through and still be comfortable (not rubbing your neck) and function properly. Can you move the seat or seat-back forward just one notch for the belt to clear, and use what they call a halo to keep the belts from separating over you shoulder under stress?
