Default Track hrs for BBK pads

I am about to do a cost benefit analysis of a BBK for HPDEs and thought a thread like this would be useful. So for those with a BBK post up the following:

-Kit
-Pad type front and cost
-estimated hrs of track time
-brake ducts (yes/no)
-rear brake kit
- pad type rear and cost
-hrs on rear pads
-estimated street driven miles

The caveat is this is all from memory and my memory is suspect due to the sleep deprivation of a new baby.

-Kit
StopTech ST-40
-Pad type front and cost
-estimated hrs of track time
Cobalt XR-2, $349, 30 hrs
Carbotech XP10, $205, TBD
-brake ducts (yes/no)
no
-rear brake kit
URGE Flow
- pad type rear and cost
-hrs on rear pads
Cobalt XR-3 $180, 15 hrs
Carbotech XP8 $162, 36 hrs
-estimated street driven miles
500?

I believe the general consensus is that a BBK will eventually pay for itself. I went from going through DTC60s every other weekend before my BBK and I currently have 4 weekends on the same set of DTC60s with my BBK.

I think it would be nice to have the #s though, even #s of different BBK/Pad combos. But yeah I am on Gloc R10/R8 and I have ~6hrs track time and 1000 street miles. I am at 6.3mm front and 7.1mm rear actual pad thickness, I am trying to figure out what the original thickness is, but my guess is I get 10hrs max.

it is odd, that your getting such long rear pad life. I have the G-Loc R-8 on the rear and I bet I wouldn't get more than 12hrs. Is it due to the BBK taking that much more of the braking load as well?

No need for cost analysis lol...BBK saves money if you track a lot...I don't know how many hours I get out of pads because it varies based on which track but I used to get 2-4 days on stock calibers and now it is 15-25 conservatively (this is with racing and not hpde btw).

Does the Urge rear brake upgrade make a significant difference by itself?

I experienced significantly more life from the Carbotech XP8 pads than the Cobalt XR-3 pads. Can't say why as the XP8 started used and abused before my BBK and they still outlasted the XR-3 by a long ways.

I used up a all of Carbotech XP10s and half of the XP8s in a single weekend, or 6 hours of track time, at Circuit of the Americas when on my stock braking setup padded with XP10/XP8. I've been back a few times with upgraded brakes and the pad life is an order of magnitude better. YMMV.

How often are you guys replacing rotor rings? That is a decent cost regardless what kit you choose.

I keep thinking "after this next day, I'm replacing my front rings". I still haven't yet... I'm probably at 40 hrs of track time on the ST-40 rings, many many autox runs, and a few thousand street miles too. I've had micro cracks for awhile now, but no fissures.
