Default About to install my SPG with Taitec rails

So, I'm about to install a Recaro SPG with Taitec rails, is there anything I should know before hand before tackling this? Any tips? Do I need to do anything with the airbag sensor etc. etc.?

If anyone has a link to a thread with a general install for seats that would be cool. Thanks.

i think it's pretty straightforward. just be careful when you're removing the stock seat and putting in your new seat, so you don't scratch your interior.

After installing mine with the BC rails I had thought of something. I wished I had measured the mounting holes on the floor, then spaced out the rails accordingly (outside of the car), then put the seat between the rails and added spacers between the side-mounts and the seat itself (since the seat is narrower than the mounting holes in the floor from what I can remember). Not sure if that works but it sounds like it would. Then you could bolt everything together outside of the car while keeping the proper spacing between the rails, drop it in, bolt it up and you're done.

It made sense in my head, but I hope I put it into words well and it actually makes sense

Call me. I have the exact same setup, and I can show you how to make it not touch the door and not set off the airbag light, but I'm too lazy to type it out.

Loop the seatbelt through the left side harness hole.

Don't do this if the top of your shoulder is higher than the top of the harness hole.

I think he's referring to the bottom left hole for the lap belt and not the upper harness hole. But I could be wrong.

Yes, this. Loop for the lap belt. Definitely not for the upper area where a full harness would go. Got caught, uhhh sleeping until 2:30pm, didn't install yet, probably tomorrow.

And thanks for the tip Disco.
