accusump plumbing
I'm about to purchase a three quart high capacity accusump for the SCCA IT-R racecar I am building (ap1), but was unsure what else to get with it with regards to the plumbing.
For those of you already running an accusump, how did you plumb it into the oiling system... Oil filter adapter? Is there an open port to the oiling system in the block? Are you using an external oil cooler? What lenth and type of hose did you use? thanks for your help! |
I use a canton sandwich oil adapter, remote oil filter and then T into the return line for the accusump. Use a check valve too to make sure you don't just dump the contents of the accusump into the oil pan at loss of pressure :)

^^^
same set up I'll be running sandwich adapter http://www.cantonracing.com/adapters/oil_c...r_sandwich.html check valve http://www.accusump.com/acc_products...ck_valves.html Accusump, Setrab oil cooler + Mocal thermostat |
krazik, I sent you a pm. :)

I run it into my oil cooler line, whatever oil cooler sandwitch should work fine.

so I take it an oil cooler is a good idea on the S2000 then?

I would like to talk about the plumbing business. I am satisfied by everything, but I understand that it is time to automate it through certain software. Now I consider as an option and I would like to see some feedback. Can I make it commanding? For example, invite members of my team to access the business management interface. So there is a possibility to choose to which part of my plumbing business they can get access and so on.

I used an adapter on the block and a remote oil filter and oil cooler. You should put a one way valve in the line so that the accusump goes directly into the block and not through the extra plumbing to the filter and cooler before pressurizing the block. |
I am terribly interested in what is going on inside that giant gold chamber. Where could I go to see more? Any build thread somewhere?
