Default AiM Solo DL

Anyone using the Aim Solo DL to capture data? I couldn't find configurations specifically for the s2000, and tried to capture data this past weekend - didn't go so well. While I was able to get the basic information easily, OBDii data doesn't appear to have been collected.

Also, I'm trying to figure out how to plot/generate basic things, such as friction circle, etc. Any input, including links to tutorials or helpful documentation would be much appreciated.

My S a is 2005, I'm having the same issue with OBDII data collection. What year is your car? What is a friction circle? And lastly, What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?

1. I have a 2002

2. Friction circle shows your lateral/longitudinal G forces - basically, how well are you using the cars braking/cornering grip capability. I see you can plot the lateral/long in a graph format, but looking to generate a circle like this

3. Air speed of unladen swallow would depend on if it's african or european...

Ooh, I've seen those. That would be great for recognizing tire degradation. I want to know how to do this as well.

speedengineer has one and we will be testing it out at Gingerman this weekend.

*edit* - crap, he's on a Haltech ECU though. Maybe we'll try and put it in my S and mess around with it.

Thanks, yeah this was a starting point for me. In fact, I purchased the DL from RichardEVO on those boards.

The basic stuff is pretty simple, but not sure how to get the OBD data sampling setup. I think I read somewhere that for the s2000, you need to set it to ECU Manufacturer = OBDii and Model = ISO. Will have to try that out.

Hopefully its not like the E9x Bmws - those have to have an extra wire or two spliced into the harness.

Nope, that shouldn't be the case... those E92s use CAN I believe. I think it's simply a matter of configuration on the DL itself that I don't have correct. and then from there, I need to figure out how to use Race Studio. The basic GPS Speed graph and mapping is pretty straight forward, but from there...
