As the title says, who amongst you, S2000 owners, track their S2K in stock form or almost?

With exception of the oem pads....I am guessing quite a few of us do yes. Once you get relatively fast running on wide super sticky tires is when the requirement to make some upgrades comes into play

What's your definition of "stock" and "almost"?

I've tracked my stock '01 on/off as my backup track car since 2007, usually on street tires.

I've tracked my '04 from bone stock to pretty much stock for the last 4 years and 20+ events, I've lost count. My philosophy has been to get as much seat time as possible and get consistent before doing anything drastic. The car is frankly amazing out of the box and really only needs decent pads and fluid before hitting the track. I've upgraded thing in order of priority and only if I saw them as necessary to progress my driving (although the engine stuff was done out of convenience).

The current setup is as follows:
- DTC30 pads and RBF600 fluid
- RE71Rs
- 8lb flywheel and baffled pan (while motor was out)
- Roll bar and seat (stock belts still...)

Tracked "stock" for 2 year or ~ 24 events (at the time).
Upgrades: offset ball joints for more camber, XP10/8 or DTC70 brake pads, and brake lines.

Ultimately, the driving factor for upgrading were the brakes. I got a BBK to reduce my running costs, which forced me to get wheels also. From there it turned into more modding - mostly to address reliability, cooling, or running costs.

Ive done about 7 events, my first one completely stock. Since then I have upgraded the brake lines, pads, went with a 245 squared tire setup and a recaro seat. I like that i can change it back to stock within a matter of hours if i wanted to.
