What size wheels for 275 Hoosier's? SSM class
I am running in the SSM class (supercharged) and want to run some Hoosier A6's or A7's. I see in the autocross thread that many of the top runners use this tire but what it doesn't show are the wheel dimensions. I have 17x9 +63 square (Nurburgring's) and do not want to go with a wide body kit. I need all the rubber I can squeeze in the wheel wheels. Will the 275's fit or am I stuck with 255's? Please help! Thanks!

I put 245/45/17 A6's on WedSport 17x9's and the tire is narrower than the rim. I have 275/35/17's on them now and the tires barely bulge past the rims.
For the 275/35/17 and 275/40/17 A6's, Hoosier shows 9-11" rims acceptable, with the listed measurements taken on a 9.5" rim. That said, I've read that the CSP crowd likes running the 275/35/15's stretched. I'd suggest trying them on your 17x9's before investing in another set.

+ eleventybillion. run them on your current wheels first. although not optimal, you will get most of the performance out of them, and you can see then if you are going to 295/315 width, which would necessitate much larger wheels.

If I were to get a set of 10" wide wheels, would 295/35/17 Hoosier A6's have clearance issues? If not, what wheel offset do I need to look for? I have no issues with rolling the fenders and relocating the rear bumper tab. Just don't want to cut up the fenders for wide body.
This info will help me make a tire decision.
Thanks!
