Default AP1 to AP2 rear subframe/suspension conversion?

has anyone changed the rear subframe and control arms to the ap2 setup with the reduced bumpsteer?
any better/ worse?

I have no real problem with the ap1 my cars pretty dialed in right now but it could probably use a new rear subframe with the left rear being crashed about 3 times

I've heard people saying they preferred the ap1 setup

I dont think u would really notice a difference with aftermarket suspension on the vehicle

I already had the TC Design anti-bumpsteer kit (toe arms) when I did my AP2 conversion. I honestly didn't notice any real difference between the two.

That is interesting. You make it sound like it was not worth it.

I guess those antibumpsteer makes a good diference then ??

The biggest and only real difference is that Ap2 the upper control arm mounting points are further apart than on Ap1. This means that the control arm bushings have less force acting on them perpendicular to their normal motion. They did this to minimize toe change in the rear under braking and acceleration. This is why Ap2 seems more forgiving, Ap1 seems sharper. In either case it's a moot point if you have spherical bushings.

I bet this is why the energy/prothane bushings i tried to install today didnt fit the rear upper control arms.
