OK, I have reversed my position and will go 225 all around. If it makes the car a bit loose it will force me to really fix a driving problem that I recognize but can't mentally fix, lift throttle oversteer. I've always used the gas pedal as an on/off switch. I can spin, recognize what I did wrong and where and go do the same thing again knowing what's going to happen. Must be a human nature thing to repeat the same bad decision knowing it will go wrong but still thinking you can make work this time.

My '03 AP1 has a big Gendron front sway bar and single adjustable Koni's that were custom valved by Pro-parts. We ran 225 square for a couple of years, but went back to the OEM sizes this year and are doing just as well or better. The steering feel is improved but didn't loose much in traction. It seems that with the 225's up front we just wore the edges off sooner, and gave up steering response.

If you can, buy/borrow a GoPro or Garmin that pairs with a bluetooth OBDII dongle and mount behind you so your hands are in the frame. If you spin, you'll be able to go back and see what your hands and feet (at least throttle) were doing. I've learned so much that way - in the beginning you'll probably be surprised (maybe appalled like I was) at how you reacted. But that's how you can learn to fix it.

And as you have learned, even though an NA S2000 doesn't have a ton of power, the throttle does require a bit more finesse than on/off

This is why I don't ride motorcycles anymore. I couldn't get it out of my head to never lift in a corner and I would panic. In a car, I feel so much more comfortable and don't have this issue. I agree it is a very difficult thing to overcome and even though you know it is wrong, its hard to pass that survival instinct. Get a front bar and then you can dial it up as needed as you work on your technique. I started very stiff on the Karcepts .25 bar and have been dialing it back with really great results!

Here's another option: Direzza z3 205/50r16 front and 225/45r16 rear, which is about 1in less in diameter from stock. This lowers the car by about 1/2in. I haven't been able to test it since I broke my finger, but I can tell the acceleration is better.

The 225/45r16 tire is not supposed to be used on the front wheel though. It should go on a 7" rim.

Thanks again for all the input. I ordered tires today and went 225 all around. It will be a couple of weeks before the next event I can attend but am looking for to getting off the all season run flats
