Runing cooling brake ducts will help a lot. Im runing stock brake size (calipers, pads, discs) and have absolutely no issues. Never cracked a rotor. Runing 265s Nankang AR1s and having ducts front and back makes a huge difference. Im currently at stock-ish power levels. I will get a set of BBK before upgrading power levels but you should really consider getting some cooling on those discs.

If you don't yet have brake cooling installed, this is an alternative to hoses and ducting.

i just got into another s2000 and i know i plan to track it. Rather than spend money on brake pads for stock calipers which will only last 2-3 days, i went and got a bbk (like i had on my old s2000). I got over 10 days on a set of pads and never replaced a rotor after 20 track days, it really pays for itself pays in savings quickly. The only issue is finding wheels that clear the BBK.

The rear ducting is a must also. It really prolongs the life of the rear pads as you wont see it crumble. I did a DIY rear duct that is very easy to do and is proven to have a noticable effect on lowering temps.

Quick update.

So far, the CSG pads and Girodiscs are holding up phenomenally well. As of right now, the pads have 4 days at NCM, 3 days at Gingerman and 4 days at Mid Ohio on them, and the pads are getting fairly close to worn. That said, mainly due to a sticky driver side caliper.

Picked up a well used ST40 kit that i'm rebuilding, so will compare the performance and wear back to back soon. But, in all honesty, i'm tempted to not change the recipe since it works so well, lol.

Last weekend was the 4th event with Gridlife in their ClubTR class with me. This time around, i had a co-driver, Coby Shield, sharing driving duties. Last session on Saturday, he managed to bank a 1:39.1. The stock power and weight of the car is very apparent now, with K-swaps running rampant and much faster. Also was missing the splitter still, so the car was a bit pushy. Still, it was a really great event! Next up for me, Gingerman.
