To those that have run RE-11's and RS-3's, how much longer will they last? Is it worth the cost?
The RE-11 lasts long enough to be worth the cost difference, in terms of life and life alone. The tires do heat cycle out and will still have tread left long after they're past their prime.

Sweet!!! New excuses for the next S2K Challenge. My RE-11s have 9-10 track days on them... I'm going to try to finish the last three events of the 2012 season on them.

On my RE-11s, I have about 14 track sessions, ~60 auto-x runs, and 22k miles. Grip is obviously down from when new, but they still grip pretty damn well; I'd guess about 90% of new.

FWIW, I have 19k miles on my rear RS-3s, with 2/32 left to the wear indicators.

I've been a star spec guy for along time. I can't wait to see the new star specs coming out. That being said...I run 225/45/15 on my daily driven miata.

I ran them for auto cross, three track days, 1 drift practice day, and dd. They are great for daily driving, decent but not fast for autocross, predictable for the track though they could be softer, and stright line in rain at nelson ledges i had no problem but in the corners were scetchy at speed but if you take it easy there are just fine. You really have to hold a slid to even notice a good flat spot and even then they were just fine on the drive home from drift pratice.

I've run multiple sets of both the RS3's and AD08's including simultaneously last year where I ran them on back to back days on nearly identical courses with an autocross field as a "control group". While I like the razor sharp feel of the AD08's in slalom and turn in, there is no way they can load the same amount of lateral sustained grip as the RS3's and just weren't as fast......period. I have a set of Super Sports as my wet tires that I use for DD and they are very nice, seem to have pretty decent wet grip but clearly not as fast as either in the dry. On side note, the Super Sports are very heavy and you can actually notice the additional unsprung weight in my car which has more torque than an S2000.

Gotta remember C&D has always said the PS2>all. Doesn't surprise me they say PSS>all too.

Just how the 3 series is the second coming of god.
