Big Thanks To RobRobinette

I think most of you know RobRobinette (https://robrobinette.com/) or have seen his posts but I just wanted to extend a HUGE thank you for all the time and effort he put into all the DIY’s that he has written. I find myself reading his website at least once a month and directing people there all the time. As someone that has had to learn everything the hard way and try and teach others myself from experience I have a deep respect for his efforts.

I have been working on assembling the parts and pieces for replacing my bushings and wheel bearings and the details he has posted are fantastic.

Thank You Rob, if you ever come through Kansas City look me up and the beers and BBQ are on me!

What's he moving on to?

Some people have had a string of bad luck with blowing motors - i'm thinking a combo of specific track configuration and sticky hohos seem to expose a potential oiling weakness in the f20/f22 design (even with anti-slosh plate/baffle). another user here had similar bad luck and threw in the towel after 3-4 motors (jaundice).

Well, keep in mind the car was probably only pulling around 0.90-0.95G's stock with the RE050 tires. Then people put on wider and sticker rubber. Then add downforce. Probably pulling upwards of 1.5G, or waaaay more than the stock system is designed to handle. I think cars can get away with just a baffled pan with either sticky tires or downforce. But add sticky tires AND downforce, then an accusump at the minimum if not a dry sump system.
