Can mounts on a wing be moved wider once attached?
I just picked a wing and was wondering if the mounts on a wing can be removed from the wing, and reattached wider apart so that the mounts sit at the outside edge of the trunk?
I am doing this so no reinforcing will have to been done on the trunk. Anybody out there done this or know if it can be done? Thanks.

okay sorry guys, here is some more info on the wing.

Yes I know it's a ricer wing, but I got a good deal on it. If you click on the picture of the wing, a window will pop up and give you the dimensions of the wing. Some pictures of the wing are below:
From looking at the mounts and how it is attached to this wing I cannot really tell if it is rivetted to the wing or some kind of screw that uses an allen wrench. There are no other mounting holes on the wing to move the wing mounts around so I am thinking I would have to create some new holes.
Wow now thinking this over, reinforcing the trunk would be much easier. Would spray in polyurethane foam be enough to prevent buckling of the trunk?
I found this product of foam and was thinking of using the 16LB density foam. Do you guys think this would be enough or would extra bracing be needed?
The wing mounts are about 24" apart. I am not quite sure if this puts the mounts over one of the bracing on the underside of the trunk.
Well hopefully that is enough info for you guys to give me some advice. Thanks.

Since you don't know the construction of the wing, you can't know for sure whether the mounts could be safely moved or not. Sorry.

Very likely. The spray-in foam would probably help. A doubler plate would also help.
The foam didn't really do much for my applications. If your going ot weld some plates, I would try to integrate it to the OEM trunk back bone structure.
My old trunk is still being used by Stinkytofu.
