Competitions in Germany?

Search isn't workin for me, so I apologize if this was brought up before. As soon as I get out of Iraq I'm gonna buy myself an S2000 and would love to get involved in autocross or road racing. Unfortunatly, I'm stationed in Germany and therefore it's kinda dificult to find any information. So, does anyone know of things like SCCA and NASA in Germany? Thanks :-D

They have something much better than SCCA or NASA in Germany. It's called a Toll Booth ;)

Haha, yeah, there's nothing like the 'rings, autobahn and not having to pay euro prices for gas :-D My Accord has seen alot of time on Nurburgring and Hockenheimring :)

The sanctioning body for autoX and road racing is the DMSB. They set the rules, issue the licences, and publish event schedules (www.dmsb.de)
BTW, autoX is called Slalom in Germany. Autocross in Germany is dirt track racing !
The autoX events are organized by local clubs. The best way to get involved in autoX is to go to an event and talk to the people of the organizing club.
If you wanna get some track time other then on the Ring try the Pistenclub: www.pistenclub.de

So you have lots of ways to enjoy your soon to become S2000 in it's natural habitat :D

Stay save,
Uwe

BTW, with your screen name, are you a tank driver?

Nah man :) I work will routers, switches and other various telco stuff in the US Army. Blitzkrieg is actually the name of what I'm gonna call the 1000 mile rally through Germany I'm coordinating :-D

Blitzkrieg is actually not a wise choice for anything in Germany.

You could be mistaken as a "bad boy" and get in real trouble.

And for teh AutoX (Slolom in Germany) you can check out the local ADAC section which are the ones which organise the Slaloms for each region.

A wise advise from stocky, this word was often used here 60 years ago in a dark part of our history.

So maybe you should think about it.

If you are back to Germany you can contact me, i'm familiar to the german racing rules because i drive rallye with an old vw rabbit.

There are some classes for nearly unmodified cars in slalom and rallye, so you can have a lot of fun with an S2000 too.
