For what it's worth, a local reputable cage builder told me that with the Mugen style HT you can get a wider cage by about 6-7 inches up top. If I ever get time to do track days again, I plan to sell my OEM and get a Mugen style carbon knock off.

Hey dude text me I will give you some info...my bar was very low also and had to get it redone. Wasn't happy with it but it's a cheap cage.

We ended up doing 3 bends and had to cut into my hardtop but head clearance is perfect. Scrapped a lot of tubing because every bend has a different angle and not pointing the same direvtion. You cant see the cage from outside.
