Thumbs up Coolant Change

What's up Hoodies?

I need help: how do I drain the coolant on my car if I have no OEM Intake Manifold assembly and no heater manifold with bleed cap by the firewall? There is no coolant change FAQ's anymore but I understand the highest point on the block needs to be opened for proper drainage... I don't have that

Here is the reason why I have no OEM Intake (the lack of heater manifold is due to no heater in the car)

Thanks!

You still have the bleed cap on the heater bypass tube (the metal one that runs across the back of the firewall). That should be the highest point now.

I would give up my intake manifold for her also

who's the hoochie?

jack the front of the car up as high as you can so the radiator becomes the highest point and run the car till the fan comes on (so thermostat is fully open). will take a long time.

I used one of my "kitchen pass" days off and went to a carshow to show my car and hang out, the hoochie was going around modelling and made it all worth it.

where do you drain it from if the radiator is the highest point?

edit- do you run the car with the radiator cap open

you drain from the lowest point, but yes, using the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator is where you drain.

You don't have to get it all out.

oh yeah you don't jack the front up to drain. just to burp after you refill.
