Default Data Loggers?

What type of data logger do you use if you use one?

How much did it cost you?

How useful have you found it and what do you use it to tune (driver, engine, suspension, etc.).

Thanks,
John

I am suprised no one is using data loggers or at least no one is replying. I have decided to start creating a spreadsheet that lists all the known Data Loggers, their prices, as well as their features.

If anyone is interested in the spreadsheet (it is not 100% complete yet) PM me and I will email it to you.

If anyone has any feedback on the datalogger that they use please post and let me know about it.

I am currently leaning towards the following logger:

Hmm, there were two guys I know who were using one, and one just sold his. Other than that I haven't seen anyone mention that they're using one.

One was the DL-90 which looks like a kickass package, the other I'm not sure of.

Many of the racers are just far too l33t for such toys. The problem is with their damper compression settings not possibly the driver

You have to get there early. Bitterman has his favorites...

* DL-90

* $800

* Driver only, though there are plenty of engine/aero/suspension tuning possibilities. Like most things, what you get out of it is proportional to what you put in. You need to spend the time slicing/dicing/analyzing the data, making notes, etc. in order to get the most out of it. Ideally, you'll have your laptop at the track and do this between sessions. Otherwise, besides giving you a record of what you did on a given day, it's just a nice toy that makes pretty plots.

Race Technology has a new logger model (DL-1) with additional inputs, and support for in-meter compact flash logging. DL-90 is now their "entry-level" unit.

Check it up at www.race-technology.com
