DL 1 (Data Logger) Group Buy
I'm in the market for a Race Technologies DL 1 Data Logger (click here for more information), possibly in combination with their dash1 display unit. I've seen Group Buys organized on this product, but it's typically hard to come up with enough interest to make the purchase work. Don't ask me why, but more folks seem more interested in buying bits of carbon fiber to shave 3-4 lbs. off their cars than in actually learning how to actually drive faster.... If enough folks indicate interest, I'll see what I can do to put a Group Buy together. I figure we might get them for $750 if enough folks sign up, down from the $965 list price. Just testing the waters to see if there's interest. If so, I'll shift this thread to one of the Marketplace forums. Given the limited appeal of this item, this seemed the best forum for gauging interest.
Thanks,
CBender
Addendum (added 11/4): I've cross-listed this on NSXPrime and EliseTalk to see if we can gather enough committed buyers to make it work. Here's the current list. At some point, be aware that you'll need to step up to the plate and commit (or not), so pls. keep me posted where you stand so we don't waste anyone's time. Thanks.
Addendum (added 11/14): I'll make some calls/emails now that we seem to have reached a critical mass in terms of the numbers. Watch this space, as I'll post once I hear anything.
Addendum (added 11/14): I've gotten an offer from Race Technologies. Information can be found in a separate post below.

Good luck with finding pricing. I love mine, don't go to the track with out it. v6 of the software is almost done (beta tester).

(As you may recall, Chris, I already bought the G2X. And I thought I remembered that you were specifically in the market for a cheap lap timer and "not looking for a $1000 GPS datalogger". Changed your mind?)

Based on an group buy put together by another club over the summer. And, yes, Mister Garrison, I did change my mind. You got a problem with that!??!
Nope, haven't found one I want to buy yet, but I'm actively looking. Prices are softening, so I suspect I'll get what I'm looking for by the end of the year.

Bump, to keep this thread from dropping off the radar. I've updated the count, including participants from all three boards (EliseTalk, NSXPrime, and S2Ki) where I've posted this. - CB
