I don't think so. A 200,000 Viper Comp Coupe is a cheating bastard advantage, not the radical. I mean, c'mon -- it's a 1.5L innocent little kit car. It's road legal in most of Europe.
Rick, I may see a guy at Roebling Road in a couple of weeks that has a Lola S2000 that he wants to sell. I haven't driven it but I did test sit it when I was in the market. It's not a roller, it's a running car with a motor you could sell. I'll keep my eyes open on this side of the country for you.
Also, a friend of mine has a "new" LeGrande Mk 18 that has never been put together. It would take a lot of work to get it going but... Interested?

Reynard F-2000, 1984 with full 1986 specs, plus many updates.
Less than 2 hours on freshened motor and Hewland. MDS ignition. 3 sets Compomotives, one with mounted rains. Gears for autocross, Lime Rock, Pocono, and everything in between. Many spares including shocks, springs, others.
Holder of several "short track" lap records. Fully sorted and ready for drivers school, regionals, solo I, solo II. $7000 OBO.

Just wondering, how you would compare it with a shifter Kart. I know we're talking different kinds of speed on different kinds to tracks but Alot of people tell me that driving a shifter is alot harder then any car and I have to disagree. I find the S2000 Way more challenging then driving my shifter (hence i'm selling the shifter to keep the S2K). I found Once I got used to the Power and the brakes that it was down right easy to drive. I also found that after spending a series of weekend driving the shifter and it forcing me to be smooth that I jumped in the S2K and was down right slow. Just wondering how similar the Radical or other Forumla car is to a shifter.
All I can tell you about a shifter kart is that if you didnt' find the absolute beast to drive, you weren't going fast enough???
I drove shifters for 3 1/2 years. Anything from a CRG, Birel, Tony and a Kosmic that I bought off of Georgio Pantano. Shifter karts are the hardest things to drive around, period. The relative speed is very high. Straightaways are only a couple of seconds long and you pull 2.5g's in the 120deg. heat. That takes willpower.
Now, granted, I'm talking about sprint racing. I didn't do much roadracing in a kart which is much, much easier.
Comparing the Radical to a race car, you would probably say it's between a shifty and a FF2000 (Formula Continental). It's very raw like a kart and wants to get away from you a little bit. It's also a little like a 2litre because it doesn't have a LOT of mechanical grip. Plus the aero loads take over.
Definately the opposite of the S2000 which is very supple and forgiving comparing to the Radical. IN the Radical everything happens much, much faster yet the absolute grip isn't 100X higher. Taking Riverside was close to a 100MPH, whereas in the S2000 it's just slightly over 90, maybe 95. The esses were as fast as you could possibly go without hitting the curbs, flat out in 4th.

But my point was that I think I am going over 100 thru riverside. Tho I'm not really looking.
