Duralast GT Pads
Has anyone tried these?

A few forums have compared them to EBC Yellows/Hawk HP+ pads. I'm skeptical....but with a lifetime warranty and how cheap they are...DAMN. At the very least I'm sure they could hold up to AutoX.

A buddy tried a set on a large car with Brembos. He said they worked well for his pace on track, which isn't 10/10ths. He wasn't getting fade, but he also isn't a crazy late braker or chasing every tenth of a second, and the car has huge brakes that can absorb a lot of heat. If they compare to an HP+, they'd probably work fine for an auto-x S2000, but they wouldn't be enough for a tracked S2000 with an experienced driver.

Thanks for the info guys.
I have ProjectMU club racers currently. I'll take a look at the powerstops when these are donezo....I MIGHT be able to get away with the duralast GT's since I have brake ducts as well. Never know until you try.

I got a free set when they came out to test at autocross. They have one autocross on them before I yanked them off and I have gone through two different sets of pads since and that was only in 2017. I settled on carbotechs and have been SUPER happy since.

I have the Duralast Gold C Max pads on my car for street use for about 6 years. Parts DGC829 and DGC537. I'm not sure they even make them anymore and they are probably not as extreme as the GT pads.
I was pleasantly surprised by the pads and like them better that the OEM pads (way less dust / no squeal). Have never had a problem with their performance.
I consider myself a momentum driver. I run Carbotech XP-8s on track, but I wouldn't hesitate using the C Max pads in a pinch.
One of these days when they're a bit worn out, I want to run them at the Glen for a couple of sessions, and then go downtown at lunch time and trade them in for new pads under the lifetime guarantee.
