first time to the track - tire pressure?
i'm heading to the track tomorrow (first time) and was wondering if i should change my tire pressure. i'm running the oem portenzas.
also, other than checking my oil level, any other pre-track advice? |
A few searches will reveal much advice on track preparation as well as tire pressures. The thing to remember is that pressure will vary with conditions. You can start with a cold pressure about 34 but depending upon ambient temp, driver, and track, the temp will rise and fall, and should be checked after sessions and adjusted all day. Most try to keep hot track pressures below 40.

Who's doing your lesson? Mike Pettiford? Danny Collins?
Last minute advice: torque your wheels before you leave and check your tires for cording several times during the day. Hope the weather holds for you and have fun! |
