Fluid Maintenance...Track Testimonials Please
Good Morning,
Winter maintenance time! I know this is one of THOSE topics, but most of threads are 3-10 years old. Oil technology may not be moving as quickly as tire tech, but I was hoping for input from guys who track/club race their cars. It's one thing for a guy who rubs his car with a diaper on Sundays and drives to work on sunny Fridays to say that Honda MTF shifts like butter, vs a club racer who's shifting at 9k for 45 min sessions. I do not have brand loyalty when it comes to cars or fluids or anything really, so I am certainly open to anything that is tried and true. I figure this forum would yield some good feedback.
I have an AP1 with Mobil 1 0W-40 motor oil, Torco MTF tranny fluid, and Torco RGO 80W-90 gear oil. I autocross and track the car, as well as drive the car to and from the track. I have had zero issues and am inclined to run Torco again for next year, perhaps the synthetic stuff this time (RTF and SGO) and up the viscosity on the diff fluid for extra protection. Anyone have feedback regarding how the competitors hold up on track since they are all pretty similarly priced? Redline/Amsoil/M1/Motul/LE...Engine Oil, Tranny Fluid, Diff Fluid.

I do it about once every two years, which for me is like 20 days. It comes out pretty clean so that's probably overkill. I do oil every 5-10 days or so. I don't bother with analysis.
I also run their grease in my CV cups.
