Front splitter mounts
Hey guys,
I bought a used WASP front splitter and it comes with the front frame rail mounts, and the support rods. When i research it seems most people just use the frame rail mounts, is that enough for track application? The splitter i got sticks out about 3". I did try to message Bryan wasp but he might be been busy to reply. Before i go to my first track day with the splitter i want it to be mounted properly. Just wanted to get your guys ideas and experiences.
Thank you for your time.

Ur going to want support rods. I was ok without them for a while, but it deprecated from the bumper at 110mph, and I thought my wheel broke lol. Didn't come apart, just would let air under the bumper and flap up and down.

I was thinking about the sides, i thought there would not be enough support causing like a fluttering from lack of stability.
I know a lot of people buy the splitters for cosmetic. That's why i posted in the racing and competition forum. "Real use and abuse".
Appreciate your input

I've built a few splitters out of aluminum and alumilite, they have all stuck out 2-4" passed the bumper. None have required support rods.
Mind you, the splitters I built mounted to the factory bumper holes, so the gap between the bumper and splitter was pretty non-existent. If the wasp doesn't mount to the front bumper, I'd drill holes into it so it could. The bumper offers a lot of additional support on the splitter.
