As usual Chris, that's a pertinent question. In addition to the ambient temperature being cooler, this time we used the long, 12 hour course, wereas in November we were on the short course. The short course in known for being much harder on brakes than the long course since it doesn't have long straights to promote cooling. However, I was on the long course on OEM pads last May, and I did experience fade and sponginess then that I did not experience this time. I look forward to hearing your impressions as well.

FWIW, I carried a spare set of OEM pads (the ones that I removed to install the R4S pads), and I'm glad that I didn't need them.
