I just picked up the 6221 hardrace lower ball joint and I would like to know which way they need to be installed.

My dyslexia is kicking in right now and I'm assuming the bulge side would be going to the outside of the wheel.

Is is that correct?

edit: Page 30 has the answer! Thanks.

In case anyone is curious...

After installing just the Megan Racing offset camber ball joint assemblies (no RCA spacer), my toe went from 0.00 degrees to 2.00 degrees toe-in. Yes, a full two degrees! It also seems that two full turns of the front tie rods results in a change of almost exactly 1.00 degrees. So I turned the left and the right tie-rods out by 2 full turns each to get back to 0.00 degrees. Hope this information is helpful to the next person who installs these. This way, at least you can get within the ballpark of spec by turning the rods 'blind'.

I use TrackAce to set total toe. www.trackace.co.uk

I'm planning on making the switch from a staggered wheel setup to a 17x9 +45 square, on 255 tread width tires. I have done the research and it would seem that -on top of rolling/tab relocation- I need front ball-joint/RCA. I am on standard Ohlins w/standard preload (2mm) and ride height (1" drop). My question is this: Would I benefit from using the a taller RCA (single piece, taller ball-joint;P/N: 6622), or is the standard unit (two piece; P/N: 6621) w/out RCA plate? Keep in mind that I'm only lowered by 1"

For a 1" drop I'd recommend adding roll center correction.

thanks for the advice. I'm looking at the EVS offset ball joint now. I believe it has the roll center correction built in, like the J's unit.

That's what I've read and have been told. I don't track the car, but I do use it as a weekend warrior in the canyons. Maybe I don't know how it feels when the bump stops engage, but I haven't had any discernible issue thus far- to my knowledge.
