Default Here's My Valve Adjustment How-To

I posted this in the "Under the Hood" forum but I know a lot of you push your engines pretty hard and need to do an adjustment so I thought I'd post here too. Here's my detailed and pic heavy S2000 valve adjustment DIY:

Let me know if you have any suggestions or corrections.

Removing the heat shield makes a huge difference and it is worth the extra time just to keep it out of the way.

I didn't have a problem with the heat shield in place. What was your technique for loosening its rear bolt?

I agree, exhaust side has more room than intake side.

That tool makes all the difference. Thanks for the great writeup Rob! Too bad I didn't have this when I first started doing them...

Another excellent write-up, Rob! How often do you do valve adjustment?

How often do you do valve adjustment?
This is actually my first DIY valve adjustment. I had the valves adjusted on this engine when it was installed 2 years ago. Now that I've done it I plan to adjust them every winter.

Rob, are you running "middle" spec or at the tight end? I run on the tight end and check every oil change.

I like the Honda tool the best for valve adjustments. Although it's $60
