Houston is next....
Houston is next!
This week, the Precision Racing Organization moves the quest for the North American Autocross Championship to Gulf Greyhound Park in Houston where a Texas-sized parking lot awaits the competitors. Thanks to our sponsors "The Tire Rack" and "Invotion" , nearly $4000.00 in contingencies will be on the line! Gulf Greyhound Park is the world's premier greyhound racing operation. The 110-acre complex has seating for 8,500 people and a total capacity of 14,000 people in 315,000 square feet of climate-controlled comfort. The 900,000 square-foot parking lot can accommodate over 8,500 vehicles, and has no islands or dividers! The is one of America

I really wish we could be in Houston as well, especially since the P.R.O. website says that we'll be there! link But with our dog's health problems (vet bills) we can't make it. By all accounts I have heard, the first event was a blast so I expect more of the same as the season continues. Over6racing will still have at least 9 events with P.R.O. for the season starting with Nashville.
Check out the schedule and see when they are in your area. Promises to be allot of seat time on fast, fun courses... and with some cool features like GPS course mapping and live timing updates. Have a wireless LAN card for your laptop? You'll be able to get T&S updates at the site. There is a satellite dish on their T&S rig that uploads event results to the Internet in realtime. You can even get the results on a GameBoy! Cool stuff.
And Volpp, I wish you and your wrist luck.
