Hi, Jonesing cause my S2k is in storage for the winter, but come springtime I want to start AutoX'n. I got a Bell AFX-1 kevlar helmet for the Pocono track day last year. It is the old rating (S95), will I be able to use it for AutoX?

What mods can be done and still keep it in the Stock class? What else do I need to know?

  • Vist (and join) the SCCA web site(www.scca.org)
  • Helmet is fine, for many years to come.
  • Very few mods are allowed. Change of front sway bar, change to aftermarket (non-coilover) shocks, change to stock alignment are the most common. check http://www.best.com/~mouton/sccasolo/index.shtml for some details
  • Try and see if any other clubs or organizations offer autoX in your area

Also check out www.autocross.com for a listing of clubs and stuff about how to get started, FAQs, that sort of thing.
