it appears there are lots of people all of the sudden making their S2000's into track only cars..... I guess somewhat due to lack of resale value and they are 4 years old, so many are paid off......

It seems like there are more than 10 people on here who are in the process.....

mine is a kill switch away from the safety exam....

I know for sure EFFECT and YELLOW STREAK both have theirs legal for nasa honda challenge...... seems like lots of west coast guys are almost SCCA legal

Here's the list as far as I can tell:

Race only (or very close):
SphinkterMC
Krazik
Dave PK
Slick Rick
Scot
Yellow Streak
Effect

On the fence (pretty well modified and tempted to go all the way):
Rlaifatt
Strike
Cthree
pfb

Not quite sure but worth mentioning:
The Reverend
TwoHoos
JerryPeterson

Auto-X prepped (stock with allowed bolt ons)
Pedalfaster
Jason Saini
Mrsideways
PENROD

I'm sure I've missed some. I'll update as people chime in to keep a complete list in one place.

I have no plans to strip the car. It's still my daily driver (and I still have a year of payments and 2 years of extended warranty!).

I have 5 years of payments and 6 years of extended warranty left. Hasn't kept me from having serious thoughts about PNOing the thing . The main thing keeping me from it is the unreliability of the other other cars...

Uh-huh. Eric has been telling me the same thing for a year now. But look at this statement from my "turning my car into a racecar" thread:

"Doh! Aaron man why you go dark side leave me on light side whit no friends

I feel an intense sucking feeling over to the darkness and hear a sucking sound coming from my wallet. Sorry mom, looks like I'm gonna blow your lifetime of savings on car parts

I just bought a library of race car prep and engineering books and I've already finished one. Could this be the beginning of the end?"

It's just a matter of time for you too .....Ludedude should probably be on the third list too

Pretty well my car's only street use other then one or two dates was Driving home on race rubber when the tow car broke down. It's not modified more then Stock class but it's pretty well Autox use only.

When Jason drove my car, he went to turn on the wipers and got the lights instead. I'm pretty sure he never drives the Mistress...

Quick Reply: how many S2000's do we have that will be "racing" or "track only"???
