Basically people are in disbelief that an S2000 can pull 1:46s at Laguna. The guy that pulled those times responds at the end of the thread and mentions that the S2000's rear brakes are problematic. Any of you guys notice that? My first track event isn't till June but I'm not going to be good enough to cook the rears for quite awhile...

perhaps the most valuable piece of advice for owners of this car (from this thread)....

"... but be VERY smooth and never lift out of it when the back end is loose."

amen brother.

malachi - Yeah, that's the part of the thread that is sticking with me the most. There is an autocross sunday so I'll see if that advice pays off (this will be my third autocross).

I don't know if "PROBLEMATIC" if the right word. I ran an event on the track this weekend (TWS) and took a lot of time to measure various temps on the car. The rear brakes get HOT, way too hot.

In my experience with this and many other cars, these smallish solid discs are one of the major faults of the car. And there is no aftermarket cure.
