I have yet to see what an AIM Solo DL hooked up to a 2006+ DBW car can produce.
One of the nicest things about the Solo DL is that the analysis software isn't complete trash like so many of the other less expensive lap timers/loggers.

Awesome you got this working with KPro!
At $700 I would hope so. That's two track weekends with instruction that would make about 95% of the drivers on this site much faster than any possible data analysis they would get from an AIM Solo DL.

I'd say that depends. There are 5 of use who use the solo. Some DL some standard $399. We've uploaded data while at lunch and it's obvious where each of us gain time on one another. I've personally found a few tenths through those ah ha moments.

I can see the data feed for oil temp and pressure more than paying for itself. Soy of us bought the canton pans with no data to support oil pressure or starvation. This will show you if any of that is needed. I spend $400 on an accusump because "better safe than sorry". This is proof. I'll be sending in my Kpro for the upgrade so I can log this data.

Maybe not as reliable but just an idea for a cheap alternative, $90 8" tablet and a $1 usb adapter.
You could obviously setup this screen however you want.

Hi there 'anorexicpoodle'

I can't PM you as i'm a new user but could you please email me the firmware for the Aim Racestudio? I'm doing a similar thing but on a Aim MXS Strada dash and the Aim technician sent me to this thread.

My email is brenth@csbrokers.co.nz.

Thanks a lot

Hey all just an update! I received my Solo2DL today and in minutes had it talking to my Kpro4.

Everything in this tutorial remains 100% accurate for the new device

So, I've been trying to get my Solo2DL to read from Kpro my analog channels... but can't find a way to display them properly. Can't even find a way to change/edit the channels within the ECU Stream.

How did you get those sensors to display? I have PLX sensors outputting to the Kpro analog header (and the digital header)....

That is using the custom library AIM supplied for the SoloDL project.

Without that you will just get voltages. Fortunately on the solo2DL you can now build a custom canbus library and do the sensor conversions there.

Unfortunately Kpro exports the analog voltages as integers and not the native units from the kpro, so you need to build the conversion in both places.

Can you share this library? Is this what you mentioned previously about the firmware?
