Seeing as how the less costly, solid, custom front swaybars have performed well can somebody please post info on who, what, where, and how much? Specifically, info on the Sucsy/Lee bar is what I'm after. After watching Goeke clobber the field at the Dallas Solo2 Tour last year it looks good enough for an amateur like me.

If I have to fork out $700 for some fancy-smancy Comptech bar I'll be sitting around choking my chicken too

Did you drive a white BMW before you owned the S2000?

I was just wondering if you were the person I had MaS point to this board last night.

I believe the car that Mr. Goeke drove at Texas had the original Comptech prototype non-adjustable sway bar. Jason Saini also ran the Tour on the same bar.

That bar works really well for asphalt. But you really need something stiffer for concrete.

I know Jason has already sold his old comptech bar but perhaps one of the other 4 out there are for sale.

If you are fairly good with your hands or know people who work with metal you could buy the parts from Speedway and make your own variation of the Gendron bar.

Good luck,

Annie, I'm beginning auto-x this year and was planning to start with the stock bar and the 265's. Thanks for confirming the combination is "doable".

CG,

If MaS is Mark Sipe, then it was me.

Also, I wanted to get opinions as to the strength of the swaybar mounts on the S2000.

Yup, the endlinks are the weak point. Hey, if you do get the Comptech bar (which I think anyone should do WAY WAY before considering any shocks) you do get the billet aluminum mounts...

Enjoy! It's a great car...
