Lets See Your Tow Rig!

1. 18 ft, there is very little resale market for 16 ft trailers. Most people haul cars larger than s2000/Miata.
2. Closed deck. Way better for hauling aditional track items, or for all purpose hauling
3. Electric. Better control, ability to drag trailer brake to stop a sway if necessary.
Racing junk is a popular place to find trailers. However, many general trailer dealers will have open deck 18ft trailers.
Last piece of advice, buy aluminum if you can afford it. It'll last longer, look better, weigh less for towing, and retain higher % of original price.

I'm actually in the market for a open steel trailer. Based on everyone's experience should I go 16' or 18'?, should I go with a open deck or a full deck? Electric or surge brakes? If there's any other insight, lmk. If you have any site for good deals on trailers, that would be great.
now i have a 24' enclosed trailer that i tow with my 05 dodge 2500 diesel. the gas mileage was a big change, the enclosed is a huge sail going down the road.

Heres mine (thats my lemons car with the snazzy paint job)
Tow vehicle is a 2000 Diesel excursion 7.3 (Its name is Truckasaurus)
Trailer is a Carson California car hauler 18ft with 5 foot ramps and double electric brakes
I fabricated the rack that holds 8 tires and 20 gallons of fuel (cant see fuel rack in these pics)
Other relevant info:
If i had to do it over again, I would order the exact same thing.

Other relevant info:
- Prodigy P3 brake controller (best towing mod ever)
- Truck has an upgraded turbo
- Went flip-up ramp because they could be longer than removable by a foot.
- No drop axles (can open drivers door when on the trailer this way)
- With a set of extension ramps, my S2000 drives right on with the splitter
- Trailer has 2 spare tires
If i had to do it over again, I would order the exact same thing.
