Default lexan spoiler blackbird fabworx

Hi Guy

Does any one of you is using the blackbird fabworx lexan spoiler on one their S2000?
Seem really popular in the miata comunity that do autocross.

I'm only doing HPDE / lapping days and wonder if i could get review from another member.

I plan to purchase one of those because it is way cheaper than any wing (300$ vs 900-1600$).

Cheers

Blackbird Fabworx makes top-notch products! Is your car too loose and that's why you're seeking more rear downforce?

100+ mph transition are to be taken carrefully while my budy with aero (big wing + splitter ) car is more stable and pick 1-2 car lenght in those area..

Too loose , i think it's normal that the car is less stable at those speed without aero.

I had one on my turbo miata, felt fine, consider though that it likely has significantly more drag than a proper wing at speed, so for road course work on an NA S2000 I don't think it has much of a place. Maybe for autox.

Are they still producing them for the S2000? I thought they made one run that didn't sell quickly so they've been on the fence.

Borrowed from another forum, from Andy Hollis about his Blackbird spoiler on his One-Lap KMiata;
Optima dictates height above deck, not angle. They gave us 2" more this year. Still, the car is aero-loose with a 4" front splitter. Really needs the spoiler expanded full across the back plus a diffuser.

This setup is pretty draggy. The motor struggles to push it once into 5th gear (124 mph). The wing I have is way more efficient...but non-compliant for Optima.
Should work fairly well for autox and maybe lower speed road courses.

They run them on the S2 Supermiatas which run sub-2m BW13CW with 140whp, 2300lb min weight, and 225 RC1s.
