Wow - so tricky

Not that my video (below) is anywhere on the same level, but I know how he feels driving a car on track/tires that have way lower grip.

This is a cold (<60F) day on street tires where someone had sprayed oil over unknown sections of the track.
Here's a video (circa 2016) of me driving my S2000 in extreme low-grip conditions.
Lap times were about 30 seconds slower than a perfect dry lap.

I did end up passing that Black 2DR Challenger (Hellcat?).

Notice the amount of counter-steer applied during corner entry to account for the slight differences in actual entry speed vs allowable entry speed. I was able to predict the target enough to require less than 90 degrees (but more than 0 degrees) of steering angle needed (in most cases) to handle the differences between actual and allowable corner entry speed. I'd say this is some of the finest driving I've done responding to situations that aren't encountered on a stable basis. Muscle memory for a typical dry track/tires is much less intensive than this since the steering angle corrections tend to be much lower.
