I went with it because I see it as an upgrade over the standard baffle. I also drift so my car is at a constant .7~ spiking 1.4G So I need all the protection I can get. I've debating doing an accusump, but I cant figure out how to keep the accusump from overfilling the pan when it kicks active.

The accusump, when used with the proper pressure valve, will only put enough oil back into the system until the pressure rises to the threshold of the valve you chose. It doesn't just dump two quarts into the engine.

Steel pan on an aluminum motor isnt an issue. You realize that there are a bagillion honda accords, elements, crvs, etc with steel pans sealed only by hondabond. K24's up to about 2012 all had steel pans.

I get that, but how fast do they refill once they've released X amount of volume.

I was thinking about this 2/3 years ago when I first heard of it and iirc the tanks were much bigger. 4 quarts+. Now that they make smaller ones i guess its not as much of a concern. Hell, I think I should look back in to that.

AHHH now i remember, i had an audi at the time that would occasionally take forever to start. So the prelube could dump all its oil to keep pressure to start. Now that thats no longer a problem. I should really look back in to this.

The accusump will fill in a few seconds but it's oil pressure dependent. Mine fills in about 2-3 seconds at high RPM's then will dump oil if you let off throttle.

I had the a Morso baffle wedded into a brand new OEM pan over the winter. Haven't installed it yet, but it looks good so hopefully it works well.

I plan on throwing into my spare f20 pan. Hopefully my guy doesn't have too much trouble welding it in.

I am having one welded into a spare pan this week, hope they do a descent job. Took a welding shop that has been around for some decades.
