Default MVP Track Time - 2009 Track Schedule

Hi All:

MVP Track Time (www.MVPTrackTime.com) is very excited to announce our expanded track day schedule for the 2009 track season.

After several years of successful events on the Midwests premier tracks, we are looking East at some of North Americas most historic tracks. The Big 5 (Road America, Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio) have always been on MVPs radar. Adding Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio and possibly Road Atlanta for 2009 gets us 3/5 way there. If/when we find partners out West, Laguna Seca will become a reality and IF (notice BIG if) we can secure a workable date at Road America we will complete the Big 5 circle.

As many are feeling the effects of the economic downturn, MVP is attempting to keep pricing the same as 2008. With all the economic bad news, I hope this reaches you as some good news. We aim to bring the best track value to you. Below you will find our tentative 2009 schedule, subject to revision as necessary.

April 218-19: Putnam Park "Tax Freedom Track Weekend" - SOLD OUT!

June 1: Autobahn Country Club (FULL 3.56 mile track) - SOLD OUT!

August 3: Autobahn Country Club II (FULL 3.56 mile track) - SOLD OUT!

September 5-6: Blackhawk Farms "No Hurricane Rain Track Weekend" - PERFECT WEEKEND!

November 21-22: Road Atlanta "Flyin Turkey Trot"

Now that Spring has arrived, I hope youll gear up for some much needed fresh air and join MVP Track Time at the track.

Happy Motoring and I hope to see you at the track in 2009!

I attended a couple of Mark's events last year... would have attended them all if I could! Definitely a top-notch organization! Very excited to see VIR and Road Atlanta on the schedule for this year

See you at Putnam in April!

Your events at VIR don't require aftermarket roll-over protection for the S2000? That seems to be what it says on your site, but I need to ask because I've never seen an event there that would allow a stock S2000... don't want to get my hopes up.

While I'm at it, mind posting what a typical schedule looks like for one of your days? Or just a link to a detailed schedule for a past event... Trying to get an idea of how many sessions per run group per day.

3 groups, 20 minute sessions... I believe it amounted to 6, 20min. sessions for a total of 2 hours of track time per day.

That's interesting. I passed b-stick test without an aftermarket rollbar because of a lowered seat, but still was not allowed to run at VIR until a bar was installed. And I had a hardtop(not structurally sound, but does hide rollbar/non-rollbar).

Generally we use the aforementioned six, 20-minute sessions for each run group daily, but we may tweak the schedules to see if we can filter in more track time with longer run sessions. Work in progress.

[QUOTE=iLuveketchup,Dec 10 2008, 09:17 PM] VIR rules takes precedence over the event.

Mark, Summit Point has now passed word that starting in 2009, they, too, will be requiring aftermarket roll protection for the S2000. Many of our local owners were/are disappointed to hear this.
