What size wheels was that on? Was it down the sides too like the rules are asking for?

Im betting the 225 R7’s are over that on a 10 now.

You measure the tire from sidewall to sidewall. But you don't have to measure from the widest part of the tire. You have to measure from the sidewall at a point 30mm below the tread surface.

I just measured my 17x10 949 wheels with 245 A7’s. They are super close to being over that 266mm width.....

255 RS3 on a 9” wheel on the car and a 255 RC1 on a 10” wheel. Both clear by a lot. 225 R7’s on a 10 might still be safe.

All these work with TT5 rules

Wheel 1 - 225/40/17 Hoosier R7 on 17x8

Wheel 2 - 255/40/17 Maxxis RC1 on 17x10

Wheel 3 - 225/40/17 Hoosier R7 on 17x10

It looks like there is more than enough room for various setups that have been previously used. Good info

So here is the problem with that double wishbone modifier. A 987.2 Cayman Non-S can easily be in the power to weight ratio for TT5, Also has strut suspension so no modifer, Has better aero then an S2000 AND has a lower CG due to a flat motor with a better weight distribution and takes no points for needing a brake kit. It's the car to have for TT5..... way to go Greenbaum you just handed an already overdog and even bigger advantage by trying to punish cars you over the years have shown an obvious dislike for in order to try to help cars that suck and will never be competitive.
