Has anyone used this? I am aware of the current lawsuit with HANS/Simpson but I can get a killer deal on one and just want some trustworthy feedback.

 

I don't know anything about this brand specifically, but you know you need seat/harness/roll bar to work in conjunction with any HANS system right?

I have it and really like it.

 

I have one that I've been using for ChumpCar racing. I've never used a HANS so I have no basis for comparison, however I found it very comfortable. Once out on track for the first time, after a couple of laps you don't even notice you're wearing it. It's also nice and light - when I picked up a HANS sport I was surprised that it was substantially heavier. I also like that the Necksgen is adjustable, so if I use it in a formula car I don't need a completely different unit.

From what I understand although they aren't making them anymore they have a new model coming out and will continue to support/recertify the old ones.

 

This is the old company that made the Defender product, the one I use. When I have to buy a new one I will just bite the bullet and buy a HANS. Nothing wrong with the Defender, I like it fine but the one they make today I'm not so sure of.
