Default New mx-5 does a 2:27 at Sebring

I found this to be a pretty amazing achievement. The 2019 MX-5 in global Mx-5 prep did a 2.27xx at Sebring last weekend. This from a car with 181 hp and 151 pound/ft. Car weight 2400lbs.

mid they post it I will put it up. It was done by Longroad racing (who is the official chassis builder for MX-5) who was testing the new car while global MX-5 was running their weekend.

Amazing, but still not enough to beat the TT4 record. Also helps that Nate Sparks was driving haha

i believe Tom Long was at the wheel. Just has me thinking what will the new MX-5 be capable of with simple mods that don’t fall into the Global mx-5 rule set....Like a hard top. John Dean told me a hard top on that car makes a significant difference. Johns already doing 2:29’s in the 151 hp current car.
