For the price and life of the tire..NT01s are still the best out there. If you want max grip but won't last as long as the NT01, Re71Rs are amazing!
You want something with less grip than both but lasts get the Rs3.

You want a tire to set records on for just one day, get the TD lol they are dangerous when they heat cycle out.

The RS3 is discontinued and not available in our sizes, unless something has changed recently

Yes true that and the TD too but you can still find the TD and probably rs3. Rs3/rs4 probably the same lol and isn't better than the re71Rs or I would heard a lot more buzz around them lol

I think I have to stick with the RS4, like others have said $ for $ they can't be beat. Sticky enough, inexpensive, last longer than other tires, Street friendly. I can't justify something else.

NT01 can't be beat for the money if you don't need a "street" tire.

Are they going to last as long though?

After this thread, I am likely going with NT01. Which seems ridiculous considering how long they have been around. For me it seems they are the right blend of

ultimate grip
consistent performance
usibility on the street
wear
price

Track time in the form of saved money on tires > overall grip, to me, at least.
The SUR4, in my experience handles, and wears exactly like the RS3. It's also been said to use the same compound as the RS3. The new R615K+ is pretty good, very forgiving.

re71r is fast, but greases up quickly, doesn't last long, and imo doesn't communicate well. 255/40/17 is also still on national backorder.

People are allegedly liking the SUR4G better than the RS4 at the moment.

Rival S 1.5 is very fast, but doesn't wear particularly well, and is a bit numb.

I can't believe people still buy NT05 and NT01. They're ancient as far as tire tech goes. But they do tend to hold up to heat better for track use than RE71R and some of the newer street tires do.

Yeah, I've spent time on the SUR4 and really like it. I'm taking a leap in guessing that the SUR4G is probably the RS4 compound, or a derivative of.
I'll order more if they are still the cheap option, just couldn't pass on the RT615K due to the price.

For me the NT01 lasted the same as rs3 but they stay good or even get better until the very end of tread.
