Default Ohlins DFV Coilovers making noises

Hey guys just want to see if anybody can come up with an idea of whats wrong with my Ohlins DFV (japanese spec)

my right rear shock makes banging noises like its loose when I go over uneven roads.
I took the tire off and checked the top nuts and bottom bolt all were to tight.

Then I pushed up on the lower control arm and it reproduces the noise..
its coming from the top of the rod behind the dust cover

is the shock broken? or the tophat loose? or something else? anybody experience this kinda thing before?

I'll try to take it off tomorrow and inspect it off the car but just wanted some opinions first.

Sounds like the nut is loose
the one that mounts the shaft to the top hat.

Did you buy the coilovers used? It may be time for a re-build.

yo i think once you take the car to the track and drive it hard, the noise will go away.
